Newborn Recieves FFFL!

(FREE FLIGHTS FOR LIFE)

A baby boy who made a surprise arrival on board an AirAsia flight this week will now be given free flights for life! How cool is that!? 31yr old passenger Liew Siaw Hsia went into labour on Wednesday's flight from the northern island of Penang to Kuching on Borneo island. The aircraft made an emergency diversion to the Malaysian capital but the baby arrived just before landing, delivered by a doctor who was on board and who was assisted by the airline's flight attendants. The baby was safely delivered when flight AK 6506 was approaching Kuala Lumpur for landing at 2,000 feet. The mother and baby were taken to a nearby hospital following touchdown. "To celebrate this momentous occasion, we decided to present both mother and child with free flights for life," said AirAsia's director of operations Moses Devanayagam after visiting them in hospital.

2nd Monroe Woodbury High School Attack!?

A 15-year-old boy accused of stockpiling gasoline, propane and a machete for a planned school attack on theanniversary of the Columbine school massacre burst into tears and admitted to police he was upset about being bullied, according to the detective who interviewed him. The boy, whose name hasn't been released, was taken into custody Monday after investigators searched his home in Monroe, 45 miles northwest of New York City, said police Chief Dominic Giudice Jr. He remained in custody at a psychiatric facility Wednesday. The investigation was continuing, but charges will likely be filed in juvenile court, Orange County Attorney David Darwin said Wednesday. The boy told police he planned to attack Monroe-Woodbury High School on April 20, the 11th anniversary of the Columbine High School shootings in Colorado in which 13 people were killed by two suicidal teenagers. Police, acting on a tip, searched the boy's home and found four 16-ounce water bottles filled with gasoline, rags that could be used as fuses, a machete, a long black coat similar to one worn by the Columbine killers, three 20-pound propane tanks and a small propane torch. They also seized two computers and several other data storage devices that are still being analyzed by the district attorney's office. Police said the boy told them he was looking to buy an assault rifle."It was obvious that he was depressed and as we were talking, he had no problem explaining to me everything he was planning on doing," said police Detective David Conklin, who interviewed the boy for about 45 minutes.Conklin said the boy cried as he explained he was picked on and bullied, and why he wanted to take revenge. The boy had transferred out of Monroe-Woodbury, a school of about 2,500 students, but harbored grudges against former classmates, police said. It appears he was going to act alone. The boy's parents had no idea what their son was planning and have been cooperative, police said. The teen was already on juvenile probation stemming from a nonviolent arrest in January. The details of that case are sealed.

Barbie 2.0

The world's best selling doll is losing favor with older girls and market share to sassier rivals. Now, after a reinvention that took 18 months and cost millions of dollars, the rollout of a new version of the toy aims at reclaiming its status as a fashion icon. After many false starts, Mattel thought it had found a way to make the iconic fashion doll once more a must have for girls of all ages and to boost the company's flagging revenues as well. It is spending millions of dollars to promote its new "Fashionista" Barbies, even hiring a choreographer to the stars to create a dance called "The Barbie". Barbie still remains the best selling doll in the world. Since March, Mattel's stock has risen steadily along with the overall market, due in part to investor anticipation of Barbie's revitalization, analysts say. The company is relying on the doll to carry it through the holiday season.

How did she finally lose all that weight?

The young starlet reports that she had recently begun taking Acai Berry weight Loss pills. Britney told Leno that since starting on Acai, she had lost almost 26 pounds.
Britney told Leno, "You know, working out and eating right can only do so much. I'm just not a work out junkie and I hate diets. Usually my dancing is enough to keep me sexy, but I gained a bunch of weight from stress and having my two boys. I needed some extra help. Thank God for Acai, it helped me lose the weight when the normal stuff wasn't working.
"It was pretty easy" Britney told Leno, claiming that her routine consisted of taking the Extreme Acai pills as directed, making sure she drank 8 glasses of water a day. "That's really all I did. I didn't change my diet or anything. They really worked. I wish someone would have told me about this Extreme Acai stuff years ago." Britney reported with a smile.

Apple Improves iMAC

This is the week when Microsoft finally starts selling Windows 7, its much-improved successor to the disappointing Vista version of Windows. PC makers, who have suffered from Vista's poor reputation, will begin touting models that come with Windows 7, which I praised in a detailed review earlier this month. But Microsoft's historic rival, Apple, isn't sitting still. After releasing its own new operating system, Snow Leopard, in August, Apple this week is rolling out new versions of two of the best- known Macs: its iconic all-in-one iMac desktop, and its least-expensive laptop, the MacBook. Though both new Macs sport important improvements, they are evolutionary, not revolutionary, and neither follows the industry trend toward bargain-basement prices. The MacBook is still $999, and the iMac still starts at $1,199, though the company is giving users more power and features at those same price points. You can pay much less for laptops and desktops from competitors like Dell and Hewlett-Packard. The new $999, 13" MacBook now includes most of the key features of the similar-sized MacBook Pro, which costs $200 more. These include a large multitouch trackpad, significantly enhanced battery life, and a brighter screen. Despite its lower price, the lowly MacBook comes with a 56% larger hard disk (250 gigabytes versus 160) than the Pro model.

She Faces Prison For Eavesdropping

After a wild phone-hacking spree into some 700 voicemails of frenemies, boyfriends and others, former Dolce & Gabbana publicist and wannabe socialite, Ali Wise, has been arrested and charged on 17 criminal counts. Her accomplice, according to court documents: free software called SpoofCard. Used to snoop on such high-profile socialistas as Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, SpoofCard allows users to disguise their numbers and access other people's voicemail. Ali Wise couldn't deal with the fact that her ex-boyfriend was dating someone else, so she broke into and spied on their voicemails. It's the stuff of soap operas, but a useful reminder to everyone about data security. Wise now faces up to four years in jail.

A bullet burst through the 1st floor window of a Bronx home on Tuesday evening, striking a 92-year-old woman in the back and killing her, the police said. The police and neighbors identified the woman as Sadie Mitchell, a widow. Mary Fields, who lives across the street from Ms. Mitchell’s home in a two-family house on East 224th Street, said she had been speaking with Ms. Mitchell shortly before the 5:30 p.m. shooting. Meteor Shower Peaks Overnight ***

The annual meteor shower is created when Earth passes through trails of comet debris left in space long ago by Halley's Comet. The "shooting stars" develop when bits typically no larger than a pea , and mostly sand-grain-sized, vaporize in Earth's upper atmosphere.
"Flakes of comet dust hitting the atmosphere should give us dozens of meteors per hour," said Bill Cooke of NASA's Meteoroid Environment Office.

When and how to watch

The best time to watch will be between 1 a.m. and dawn local time Wednesday morning, regardless of your location. That's when the patch of Earth you are standing on is barreling headlong into space on Earth's orbital track, and meteors get scooped up like bugs on a windshield.

Lohan's Dramatic Change

Lindsay Lohan's facial features are the talk of the Web! Many people are beginning to question whether the young actress had surgical work done despite the fact that she's just 23 years old! Did she go under the knife, or is it maturity and/or her hard-living lifestyle that's changed her looks? What do you guys think?

Do You Prefer OLD LINDSAY or The CURRENT LINDSAY?

Give Us Breast Money Back!!!

Officials from the Miss California pageant are sending a message to Carrie Prejean -- three can play that game! The production company that runs the pageant is filing a cross complaint against Prejean, demanding, among other things, that Carrie return the $5,200 the pageant fronted her for her breast augmentation. In other legal docs, Keith Lewis and crew are asking to strike a portion of Prejean's lawsuit ;the portion dealing with public disclosure of private facts. The new docs say, "the alleged 'private facts' consist of her breast augmentation (which ceased being private during the swimsuit competition of the nationally televised Miss USA pageant, in which Ms. Prejean walked the stage in a bikini)."The cross complaint says, "Had Carrie heeded the guidance of the Gospel of John, who admonished only those who are without sin to cast stones in judgment, she might have avoided this legal battle ..."

American Idol Update!

Identical twins John & Edward, the controversial contestants on Britain's X Factor caused polarizing performances that are causing fistfights to break out at pub viewing parties across the United Kingdom. Critics are saying that if there was such a thing as Vote For The Worst U.K., John & Edward would be that site's proud posterboys. But thats not all they're also saying that the twins were jaw-droppingly, gob-smackingly, compulsively watchable, even if they might be better watched with the telly's sound turned to mute. Wow thats harsh! But moments like these that people remember and love. What do you guys think?

Foods That Sabotage Your Sleep:

CHOCOLATE

Love driking an evening cup of cocoa? Be careful of chocolate in all its disguises. Many people are increasingly sensitive to caffeine as they get older, and even the little chocolate chunks in chocolate chip ice cream could zap you just enough to prevent ZZZZs.

Energy Drinks

Red Bull and other energy drinks are high in caffeine as well as the amino acid taurine, which boosts alertness and adrenaline.

The Nightcap

A drink or 2 may make you feel more relaxed after dinner, but it comes back to haunt you. Literally a few hours later, it will prevent you from achieving deep sleep. Alcohol both dehydrates you and makes you have to pee, which wakes you up. Wine is high in the stimulant tyrosine as well.

Best Foods for Your Sleep:

Cherries

Should you let yourself have that midnight snack if you're having trouble sleeping and you think hunger might be part of the problem? Fresh and dried cherries are one of the only natural food sources of melatonin, the chemical that controls the body's internal clock to regulate sleep. Researchers who tested tart cherries had found high levels of melatonin recommend eating them an hour before bedtime or before a trip when you want to sleep on the plane.

Oatmeal

Like toast, a bowl of oatmeal will trigger insulin production, raising blood sugar naturally and making you feel sleepy. Oats are also rich in melatonin, which many people take as a sleep aid.

Milk

It's high in calcium, which promotes sleep.

Extreme Pumpkin Cravings

Slow & Steady

This precious carving shows that not all pumpkins need to be scary. They can actually bekind of cute!

McPumpkin

Would you like fries with that pumpkin? To make this cool creation, just split a gourd in half and stuff it with lettuce, tomatoes and if you're really serious, ground beef! But be careful: leaving food outside may attract critters that go bump in the night.
