SLAP CHOP vs. KNIFE

That headset wearing guy Vince who is slapping and chopping with great excitement must know some secret trick or have had some kind of special advantage with the food he was using. Maybe it was pre-cut. Who knows? But outside that studio, WalletPop put Slap Chop to the test -- both in a regular kitchen and the kitchen of someone who chops for a living.The result: not so good. Slap Chop couldn't cut through the outside of a tomato. It left a tomato cut-apart inside while still held together by a cut, but not cut-through skin. Other items on the chopping block, such as an onion. Unlike Vince's experience it had to be prepped so much for slapping, it was hardly worth the bother of adding another tool to the mix.

Spike Jonze seems to have played out the fantasy of many people post-VMAs, as the acclaimed director gives Kanye West a big old slap across the face in an outtake from the duo's 'Once Upon a Fairy Tale's video that emerged earlier this month. West's incessant texting was enough to drive Jonze to violence!

#1 - The Jonas Brothers are NOT breaking up!

#2 - Nick Jonas IS working on a side project called Nick Jonas & The Administration

#3 - This project will be released early in 2010

#4 - We are ALL excited about this project AND what we are doing TOGETHER!

#5 - We plan to make music together for as long as we can.

The New York Yankees have been blasting Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind" during their playoff run. Now, the team is having the rap king perform the song live to start off the kick off Game 1 of the World Series. Jay-Z and Alicia Keys are set to perform the hit on Wednesday, as the Yankees take on defending World Series champs, the Philadelphia Phillies. In an interview Monday, Jay-Z was excited about the performance, and said: "Thank the good Lord for making me a Yankee. "He calls the opportunity a "once in a lifetime experience."

An 88-year-old woman in Colorado Springs who walked laps around a nursing home in memory of her deceased husband has hit a major milestone: 10,000 miles. Martha Michel walks laps daily around the lake at Namaste Alzheimer Center. Michel started walking the lake with her husband, former Colorado College Professor Dr. Lester Michel, who was a patient at the center. After Lester Michel's death in 1998, Martha Michel kept up the walking in his memory.The two were married 56 years and enjoyed hiking Colorado peaks until Lester Michel got too sick. Martha Michel keeps meticulous records of her walks around the lake, and on Saturday, she hit 10,000 miles. That's about the same as walking across the United States three times.Five laps around the lake at the nursing home is a mile long. Michel has five children, 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
