
The news that María del Carmen Bousada de Lara, a Spanish woman who gave birth to twins shortly before her 67th birthday in December, has died of cancer on July 11. It seems to have provoked a wave of moral outrage.Bousada received vitro fertilization treatment at a clinic in Los Angeles. Bousada lied to the clinic that she was 55 to get fertilized. Bousada told that she believed she could live to 101 since her mother was blessed with long life.Her brother, Ricardo Bousada said she had a tumor which was discovered after she gave birth.Bousada left behind her twins, Pau Bousada and Christian Bousada, around 3 years old.
